Where is Issue 02?!

Firstly, thank you to all of the people who have downloaded Yippee Ki-Yay! so far! The magazine has been downloaded thousands of times all over the world and we’ve had some really positive feedback through Twitter and over email – please keep them coming!

So here’s the first part of news: Issue 02 is in the works! We’re getting there but it may take a few weeks yet until it’s available to you all – your patience will be rewarded!

The second snippet of news is that I’m making a couple of adjustments based on some of the feedback I’ve received. A few simple things that might make the user experience a little smoother. This has added to the delay but some really interesting point came up and I thought it was worth exploring them. Plus, it’s proof that although I might not reply to every email I receive at least I do read them!

There are a few things I can’t do right now, unfortunately. That doesn’t mean that down the line things can’t be changed, just that at the moment there is only so much that can be done. These include functionality such as pinch and zoom pages and different font size options.

The biggest question I’ve received is, “why aren’t you available in Apple’s Newsstand?”. Well, for that to happen YKY would need to offer subscriptions, which is a service I can’t provide at the moment. So, for now, I’m afraid the only way we can produce the magazine is to make each issue as an individual app. I understand the frustration and potential annoyance but you can always just drop the issues into a folder together to keep them from cluttering up your iPad screens. Again, I’d love to solve this for future issues, so there is hope!

Granted it’s a small progress update but YKY is made by myself, in my spare time and with the help of some very talented and generous friends. So bear with me and Issue 02 will be available in no time!

Thanks for downloading the app and please keep spreading the word!
